We were honoured to act as hosts for the ARR 2026 conference this year from 17th to 19th June at the Moller Institute Cambridge. We had an excellent turnout to the event with a total of 65 attendees. We received 37 abstracts, all of excellent quality, such that every proffered abstract was presented at the conference. The abstracts had a focus on DNA damage repair, and we adapted the programme to allow for as many of these abstracts as possible to be heard in oral format.
We had a wide range of international participants, with attendees travelling from as far afield as Japan for the meeting, and it was wonderful to see the active networking discussions held during the breaks in the programme.
All of our speakers were able to attend the meeting face to face, with the exception of Emanuel Stutz from Bern in Switzerland who joined us online to gave a fascinating clinical update on hyperthermia applications in Oncology.

The Weiss Medal Winner this year was Prof Kaye Williams. She have an illuminating lecture on the development of her career in Manchester, and her key discoveries in tumour hypoxia and combination therapies to abrogate this process.
We had an engaging social programme for the conference. On Wednesday there was a barbecue on the terrace of the Moller Institute, and on Thursday we enjoyed a gala dinner in Homerton College. Don Jones once again brough the evening to a merry discussion with a wonderful speech, inspired by the abstract submissions we received for the conference.
