Our main activities are the organisation of an annual conference, held since 1959, and the award of bursaries and prizes for radiation research. The bursaries that are available to members include travel bursaries for the attendance of conferences (whether ARR or other meetings), collaboration bursaries to develop new skills or projects by working with other research groups internationally, and meeting bursaries to run conferences within the remit of the association.
Our prestigious prize is the Weiss Medal, awarded to people who have made outstanding contributions to radiation research.
